Maru Koi - Brand Development

I was tasked with crafting Maru Koi's brand identity for its dual launch – both physical and digital. My responsibilities encompassed devising a logo, curating a magazine, fashioning social media content, and producing launch materials. At the core was the creation of a logo that encapsulated Maru Koi's essence, becoming the visual pivot for the entire venture. This logo then inspired an animated version, enhancing its impact.

The magazine's design harmonized aesthetics and functionality, while social media templates unified the brand's voice across platforms. The launch materials – from flyers to banners – were curated to ignite anticipation. Throughout the process, I ensured a consistent brand identity, where the logo, colors, and design elements remained cohesive, resulting in a resonant brand presence that left a memorable mark.

Once the final logo was established it inspired me to bring it to life and create a looped animation that can be use in various forms such as a social post or within exhibition spaces.

 
 

The magazine

In addition to developing the brand look and feel I also created the first launch issue of their magazine.

For this I took inspiration from Japanese design work and tried to add a modern fresh take ensuring that the content was the main focus whilst being complimented by photos provided by the client. The final output I feel helps to project a rich premium look and feel for the magazine which will help it stand out from it’s competitors.

Apart from defining the brand's visual identity and designing the magazine layouts, I was assigned the responsibility of crafting single-page advertisements for affiliate brands to ensure their distinctiveness amidst the other content.
